The Potomac Village Campus (preschool-grade 2) is on the grounds of St. Francis Episcopal Church and the 19-acre Postoak Campus (grades 3-12) is on Postoak Road in Potomac. Since 2008 St. Andrew’s has renovated or newly built each of its buildings and outdoor spaces, culminating in the opening of the new 43,000-square-foot Student Center in 2016 on the Postoak Campus.
St. Andrew’s has earned international recognition as a destination school for research-informed teaching, learning, and leadership development. Its Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning (www.thecttl.org) has trained 100% of the St. Andrew’s faculty in the foundations of Mind, Brain, and Education Science research. As leaders in the research-to-practice movement, St. Andrew’s teachers and students conduct original educational research with faculty from The Johns Hopkins University School of Education and Research Schools International, led by individual faculty members at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education. CTTL publications and training have influenced more than 10,000 teachers and school leaders internationally. As a faculty member at St. Andrew’s, you can have the opportunity to work directly with the CTTL as a Teacher Research Fellow or contributing author to the CTTL’s internationally recognized publication Think Differently and Deeply.
St. Andrew’s faculty and staff uphold a powerfully innovative, positive culture that challenges and supports one of the most broadly diverse student bodies in greater Washington.
