The Catholic High School of Baltimore seeks a qualified candidate for a full-time Head Varsity Dance Coach for the 2017-2018 season, from late October until early March. Applicants must have flexible schedules to accommodate team practices and events.
Duties include:
Organizing and attending practices (4 days a week, 4-6pm) and performances
Team fundraising and trips
Qualifications:
Strong Performing Arts and Dance background experience required (high school, college and/or studio), including experience in hip-hop, jazz, modern dance, lyrical and pom.
Solid technique, choreography, the ability to teach the various types of dance, and knowledge of current dance trends and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Candidate should understand the rules and regulations set by the UDA, NDA and other dance organizations.
Interested candidates must also support the overall mission of Catholic High, and work collaboratively with athletic director, athletes, parents, and school administration to build a successful program.
